I WAS going to wait until I'd finished Miss Mary Mack before starting A New Beginning. But no...

I started stitching.

The Vikki Clayton HDF silks are so gorgeous!

I really don't have enough done to post a photo yet. Just the very top border of the first motif: a Fleur de Lis.

I'm stitching this one on a 32 count fabric that I ordered from Joanne at
123 Stitch -- it's a light apricot colour, very subtle.
I'm using all the variegated silks from Vikki that I could find.

I especially want this project to be full of bright colours in honour of the designer, Sue Gastler, who is very ill. This is my tribute to her talent and to her
life.

As soon as I finish that first motif, I'll post a photo.
