October Calendar Girl: Update

I've been working on LHN's October Calendar Girl for a few hours.

I like the few changes I made.  I shortened her hair because mine is short.  Trying to figure out a way to give her some strands of silver and a few curls.

I made her dress blue as I'm not a grey dress kinda gal.

I've gotten a bit of push-back on my colour changes and choices.  But I'm stitching this for me and I like it.

I don't mind constructive criticism -- but not outright complaints.

I am beginning to think I MAY have this project completed by September 1st.  I hope so as I can't wait to begin Pumpkins 4-Sale!

HAPPY STITCHING!

New stash, new start...

Not really a "new" start, I suppose. I'm adding LHN's October Girl to the right-hand side of October Cottage.

I finished the vine and will work on "girl" tomorrow.  I think I may give her short hair and lots of grey, like mine!

I received new stash from 123Stitch.com:  Wild Salt Air from Hands On Design and 28 Ct. APRIL Lugana from Crossed Wing Collection.

I can't wait to finish OG and Pumpkins 4 Sale so that I can work on Wild Salt Air.

Have a wonderfully blessed evening!

Happy Stitching!

Celtic Heart Happy Dance!

It's done!  I finished Celtic Heart (except for the initials)!

First Happy Dance in 4+ years!

Thankful Thursday! Celtic Heart Update

Good Morning Stitchers! Be Ever Thankful!

I stayed up late and worked on Celtic Heart.   I've decided how to personalize it and may be finished by... this evening!

As you can see, I've got one area ready for one name and working on that last area now.  At least now I know I won't run out of silk.  I've just enough to finish it.

Wish me luck!

Have a wonderfully blessed day!

Very Slow Progress on Celtic Heart.

To quote Robert Burns, "The best laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft a-gley."

In other words, I didn't get to stitch this past weekend.  Insert appropriate colourful metaphor here.

I did stitch for a couple of hours today.  I'm 3/4 of the way done and have two changes coming up as this is now going to be a gift for a loved one.  💜💚💙

Still hoping to have this finished by... New Years?

Goodnight, Ya'll

Celtic Heart June 13th Update

"As ye sew, so shall ye rip"

I'd forgotten about the whole miscounting, frogging part of stitching.  Luckily for me, Happy Husband is a Land Surveyor.  He found the mistake in less than one minute and I was frogging the next.

This is my progress as of noon on June 13th.

I hope to stitch some more this evening.  I have 4 new projects in queue.

I can't even begin to tell you what it means to me to be stitching again.  I feel re-born.
