I received an unexpected Christmas gift from Mike's co-worker, Thomas, today.
A few weeks ago, he brought over two very old tea towels to ask me what I thought of them -- age, type of embroidery, origin.
I told him what I knew from looking at them and posted the photo a couple of places for more insight.
Well, this afternoon, after Mike got off of work, he brought in gifts from Thomas to the family. The tea towels were neatly wrapped up with my name on them!
I am just gobsmacked.
I love needlework of all kinds -- and this is such a lovely addition to my collection.
I've received some lovely gifts this Christmas season...
